About Me

I'm a rebel, and my creative expression is through building companies, investing, and writing this blog.

I got hooked on bitcoin in 2011/12 drawn by anti-establishment vibes, P2P tech and libertarian values. Bitcoin culture changed quite a bit over the years. I helped build a few projects on bitcoin and contributed to Handshake.

I've been living off-grid since 2020. I'm learning how to fish, hunt, farm, raise livestock, and work with wood. Two observations so far:

  1. Self sufficiency leads to a higher sense of security.
  2. God feels closer when surrounded by nature. Cities feel godless and insecure.

I'm currently working on Warp, a decentralized exchange, and TS29, a crypto VC fund.

About this Blog

3 sections:

  1. General - mostly crypto but sprinkled in with other investment related topics
  2. Life - can only be resolved using handshake.
  3. Culture - restricted to .g domain holders.

Functionally, this blog is like a decentralized substack. I’ll open source and perhaps productize.

Don’t read the culture section if you’re easily offended. I share ideas that I normally wouldn’t share online in that section. What’s the point of using decentralized tech if you’re not going to push the envelope and risk getting canceled.

Handshake

In 2018, I contributed to Handshake, a decentralized naming protocol. We raised $10.2M from Founders Fund, a16z, Sequoia, among others and gave it all away to open source projects including Arch Linux, EFF, etc. In 2020, we launched the project following Satoshi's footsteps without any central foundation or development company.

Lessons from COVID

COVID-19, mandatory vaccines, and the lockdown woke up the masses. An entire generation of young men now subscribe to the idea popularized by Andrew Tate that we live in a Matrix of sorts.
